Christmas blessings and finished art

Image
Merry Christmas to all! I hope your celebrations were fun, enjoyable, and relaxing! My oldest son got engaged around the end of October so this year on Christmas morning we had his   fiancée  join us! It is always hysterical fun! We hide the pickle in the tree (German tradition) and the kids have to look for the pickle and the first one to find the pickle gets to open the first gift of Christmas! Wouldn't you know it, Kim ( fiancée)  found the pickle!!    So my next son, Andrew, is going to help me with this blog. I hope I can keep up with his stringent schedule! First up is posting a picture of the painting of the jazz player. Wish me luck! I hope everyone has a great New Year! We will be having fondue. Stay tuned for the next post on New Years Day....

Side tracked again

My oldest son is moving out on his own. It is bittersweet! On one hand I am so excited for him, but on the other hand I will miss him and his great listening skills! He has asked me to make him a canvas for his wall and I am happy to oblige! So here is my first attempt. He requested a jazz player and a lot of color. What do you think? Well, I have just realized I'm not sure how to insert a photo. Hmm, let me check with the kids and get back to you...

I'm back...

It has been quite some time since I wrote on this blog. I'm not sure how to remind myself to post here, but I think it's important. So I'm going to do my best to post once a week. This week I am working with acrylic paint and skins. They are so fun! I need a new piece for a weird section of wall. Maybe I will post pictures of my progress. Stay tuned!  I still haven't been able to stick with one medium. My latest is getting on the zentangle bandwagon. I would love to become a CZT but I would probably need to get a job to pay for a trip to Rhode Island! Haha! I'm thinking most people have this art addiction. You just can't stop experimenting with new products and techniques! One day I will find my niche and this blog will be here waiting for me.
